I draw my inspiration from the world around me. It continues daily to inspire, challenge and amaze me. There is a special beauty in what we grow accustomed to seeing every day. I look at my surroundings and find true appreciation for the way color, shadow, reflections and lighting effect everything I see.
My painting style could be called enhanced realism. By using saturated color with special attention to the play of light and shadow I try to bring my paintings to life. I love watercolor, the transparency and the movement of it, the different effects you can create with it. I am continuing to learn how to create with watercolor, sometimes just going with the flow, other times being pleased with the results of my directions. Painting with watercolor is a creative journey I look forward to each day. When a painting comes to life it feels like magic. Signature Member:
